There are plenty of SUVs on the market, but only a few are Cadillac—and only these have the performance and prestige that come with their name. Fewer still are battery electric vehicles (BEVs) with zero emissions and invigorating instant torque. The Cadillac LYRIQ has only been available since last year, but it has already made a name for itself and established a new place on the road for vehicles with refinement and performance beyond what most cars or SUVs—even other BEVs—can offer.
If you're looking for a Cadillac LYRIQ for sale, then you might already have a good sense of some of the amazing features this stunning BEV brings to the road, but do you know which model is right for you? Across three different trims are seven configurations to choose from, plus two different motor setups, which gives you incredible freedom to get everything you need as long as you know what to look for—so, let's check out the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ and figure out which one is right for you.
Two Drivetrain Options: RWD & AWD
Before you make any other decision (or even look at the three trims), the most important thing you should consider is the kind of performance you want from your crossover. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either available setup, but it does have an impact on how your LYRIQ will handle, so it's an important decision. You have two possibilities here: you can choose a standard option that features a single motor on the rear axle for rear-wheel drive (RWD) or pick a pair of motors—one on each axle—for all-wheel drive (AWD) performance and greater traction.
The option you choose will impact a couple of different things: not only the number of motors but also the power output and the maximum estimated range for your Cadillac LYRIQ. If you go with the standard setup, then you get a single motor for RWD performance, which delivers 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. A RWD model gets about 314 miles of estimated maximum range from a full charge, which is more than enough for daily driving and long road trips.
A dual motor setup gives you AWD performance since each axle is powered by its own motor, providing you with boosted precision and handling. The pair of motors also put out more power, delivering 500 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, which is a substantial boost from the performance of the single-motor setup. Choosing a dual-motor LYRIQ does cut the maximum range down from the standard option, but only to an estimated 307 miles from a full charge, which is a slight sacrifice well worth making as far as we're concerned.
Both options make the Cadillac LYRIQ fun to drive, especially with the instant torque you get from its BEV engineering: pressing the pedal and feeling that immediate response simply can't be beat. The added power of having two motors is a difference you can feel, however, and the fact that it gives you boosted traction and handling makes for a superior driving experience. You'll still enjoy the standard setup, but it's worth going for a LYRIQ with a pair of motors.

Three Trim Levels: Tech, Luxury, & Sport
Once you know whether you want one or two motors on your LYRIQ, then it is time to consider the three trim levels available to you. You'll have even more options from here if you choose the Luxury or Sport trim, but for now, we will focus on the first choice available to you. Let's quickly take a look at the standard features you get with all three of these trim levels, and then we'll get into the different tiers for the latter two trims.
The standard trim of the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ, the "Tech," delivers gorgeous styling, bold performance, and amazing features for you to enjoy. For starters, you'll get 20-inch wheels with Bright Silver finish and Gloss Black aero inserts, a fixed full glass roof, illuminated grille with laser etched graphics, and choreographed exterior lighting that includes an animated sequence that begins when you are within six feet of your vehicle. Inside, you'll find a gorgeous 33-inch advanced color LED display with Google Built-In that stretches across much of the front dashboard, acting as both a driver display and an infotainment screen. You get a seven-speaker sound system, Inteluxe seating with heated front seats, standard cruise control, and remote keyless entry.
Moving up from the Tech trim, the Sport 1 (more on these tiers in a moment) comes standard with 20-inch wheels with Diamond Cut/Satin Dark Android finish, bright accent bodyside lower moldings and side window surround moldings, and slim-line LED vertical headlamps. Inside, the Sport 1 features the same incredible 33-inch front display and seven-speaker sound system but features Inteluxe seats with perforated inserts, adaptive cruise control, and customizable ambient interior lighting that you won't find on the Tech.
The Sport features a powerful and aggressive look thanks to dark accent bodyside lower moldings and side window surround moldings, plus unique front grille details and other touches that add to its bold appearance. Otherwise, standard features on the Sport are the same as the Luxury, giving you fantastic options with either model, depending on the looks you prefer. Choosing either of these higher two trims gives you three tiers available, so you can customize what you get in your Cadillac LYRIQ even more.
Three Tiers Within the Top Two Trims
Your choice of Luxury or Sport largely comes down to the look you prefer, but the three tiers available have a big impact on the features you get. The Luxury 1 comes with what we just looked at while moving up to the Luxury 2 tier gives you a 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system that provides you with absolutely stunning audio. You get heated and ventilated seats in the second-tier trims, along with power lumbar massage functionality up front and more great options. Perhaps most exciting, with the Luxury 2 or Sport 2, you get GM's innovative Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving technology, giving you access to true, hands-free driving on more than 400,000 miles of highways across North America.
Moving up to Luxury 3 or Sport 3 provides you with a number of further upgrades, starting with larger 22-inch wheels that look stunning and provide you with an incredible driving experience. While every Cadillac LYRIQ comes with a rear power liftgate, these third-tier models feature a hands-free power liftgate with a memory height function you can program to perfectly meet your needs. You also get heated rear seats in these models, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a rear camera mirror that provides an incredible view behind your vehicle. Whether you prefer the look of the Sport or Luxury trim, you get three fantastic options to ensure you have all of the incredible technology and comfort you're looking for.

Which Cadillac LYRIQ Would Best Fit Your Lifestyle?
Only you can answer this question, though we strongly suggest one of the Sport or Luxury trims with two-motor AWD performance to get the best driving experience possible. We love the features you get with the second tier of these two trims—the stunning AKG Studio sound system has to be heard to truly be appreciated, while Super Cruise technology gives you a feel for what driving in the future will be like.
