The powertrain options help make the XT5 responsive and fun to drive. You can choose a 2.0L turbocharged engine with 235 hp or a 3.6L V6 with 310 hp. While the V6 is a bigger engine with more power, the 2.0L turbo packs a punch. Both are great engines but offer slightly different benefits. If you plan on carrying a load of people and cargo frequently or simply want a few more ponies under the hood, the V6 may be a better option for you. However, if you value fuel efficiency highly, the 2.0L may be a better fit. The nine-speed automatic transmission included with the XT5 maximizes the efficiency and power of either engine option. How Much Luxury Do You Want?
The XT5 comes in three trims: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. As you can see, there is a reason that even the lowest option is still named "Luxury." With that being said, the Premium Luxury and Sport really take the Cadillac design to a whole new level. An upgraded 14-speaker Bose premium sound system is standard on both of the higher trim options. Both of these trim options also include an UltraView power sunroof, providing extra ventilation and sunlight for the occupants.
The Premium Luxury offers six upholstery options for the leather seats. These luxury leather options include Jet Black, Cirrus, Sedona Sauvage, Kona Brown Sauvage, Jet Black Semi-Aniline, and Maple Sugar Semi-Aniline. You can also choose Linear Galaxy high-gloss wood, Diamond-Cut aluminum, Satin Rosewood, open-pore Sapele, open-pore Elmwood, or bronze carbon fiber trim. The only challenge about choosing the right interior is trying to decide on only one option. As with the Luxury trim, the two higher trims also include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
Living up to its name, the Sport trim comes standard with the V6 engine and all-wheel drive. It also has gloss black exterior highlights instead of bright chrome and flaunts bright red brake calipers. The performance of the XT5 Sport is optimized with an improved twin-clutch all-wheel drive system, real-time damping suspension, and a heavy-duty cooling system. Performance Brembo brakes have been added as well. These features allow for greater performance in difficult driving conditions.
Upgrades for the Premium Luxury and Sport trims abound with the Platinum Package and Technology Package. The Platinum Package adds semi-aniline leather seats with Chevron-Perforated inserts. The instrument panel, console, and door cards are leather, and the headliner is made from suede microfiber. Selecting this package will give you the most luxurious version of the 2023 XT5.
The Technology Package increases the size of the Driver Information Center to eight inches and provides a color Head-Up display. Both these upgrades make it easier for the driver to keep tabs on how the vehicle is performing. Several safety features are also included with the Technology Package, including HD Surround Vision, a Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and Automatic Parking Assist with braking.
The XT5 Is an Impressive SUV Inside and Out

The second row has 39 inches of legroom, making it one of the more spacious rear seats in the segment. With the rear seats folded down, the maximum cargo space is 63 cu.ft.
